TechCrunch is one of the biggest and most successful tech, and web 2.0 start-up blogs in the world. Arrington along with Jason Calacanis organize the TechCrunch50 (TC50) Conference. The purpose of TC50 is to find the best Web 2.0 start-ups and give them the opportunity to launch in front of venture capitalists and the press.

Nathan Myhrvold | Microsoft Research

He is the co-founder of Intellectual Ventures, a privately held company with the goal of developing a large patent portfolio. Myhrvold personally holds 18 patents and has applied for more than 100. He was the Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft and founded Microsoft Research. Myhrvold also founded Dynamical Systems Research Inc., which was purchased by Microsoft in 1986.
