He is also involved with Makani Power, WattzOn, HowToons, Instructables, OptiOpia, Potenco and Monkeylectric. In 2007, Griffith won the MacArthur Fellowship.

In November 2002 he co-founded Plaxo, an online address book and social networking service that integrated with Microsoft Outlook. He co-founded the advocacy and fundraising application Causes within Facebook in 2007. Parker was also President of Facebook. He joined the venture capital fund Founders Fund in 2007 as Managing Partner.
