image source: Joi/Flickr Jimmy Wales was born on August 7, 1966. He is most known for being the face of Wikipedia - a free online, open content encyclopedia that is edited by public contributors. Wales is the cofounder of Wikipedia, president of Wikia, Inc., and chairman of the Wikimedia Foundation. Wikipedia is one of the most heavily trafficked sites in the world.
