O'Reilly Media also organizes the very popular Web 2.0 Conference as well the hacker event Foo Camp. O'Reilly Media is also known for its succesful foray into online publishing with Safari Online, a joint venture with Pearson Technology Group. O'Reilly Media is one of the most, if not, the most successful computer book publishing companies ever, being one of the first to publish manuals on relatively new, at the time, computer programming languages.
