Bill Gates was born on October 28, 1955 in Seattle, Washington. He attended Harvard University before dropping out in 1975. Gates along with Paul Allen founded Microsoft, one of the most succesful start-ups of the computer age. In 2000 Gates and his wife Melinda created the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the largest transparently operated charitable foundation in the world.
